NONESCOST MPC.....a look back...!

Organized in 1999 as school based cooperative by Mr. Ernesto Vistar inside NONESCOST school campus. First pre membership seminar was held & facilitated by Mr. Ernesto Larawan with the permission of OIC President Dr. Ephraim Estacion Jr. It was then registered by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on September 03, 1999 with the following set of officers:

Dormant for about two years after its registration, a general assembly of members was called to activate the coop. The new set of officers was elected as follows:

In 2001, NONESCOST MPC began to operate with 2, 500.00 capital. Its first loan product was the Pitaka loan of P300.00. Officers & members were exposed to succesful coops in Negros, Cebu & Bohol. They are also sent to trainings & seminars to equiped them as leaders.

In 2004, the NONESCOST FAST MPC amended its Articles of Cooperation and By-laws to accept members outside of the College. The amended name is NONESCOST Multi-Purpose Cooperative. It was also during this year when NONESCOST MPC applied for affiliation with VICTO National.

Today, NONESCOST MPC has its own building constructed out of the dividend and patronage refund of its members. The lot, where the building is constructed, was acquired from Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Alvarado who offered it at a very reasonable price.
